The Ladon Device

MoGraph/Video

Level 17

Level 17 was a small independent game studio building The Ladon Device, a story-driven shoot-em-up, exploration, and crafting game. I joined as a multi-role media specialist, supporting the project across promotional video, gameplay capture, 3D asset work, motion graphics, screenshots, and web presentation.

The work was scrappy in the best way: part production shop, part game-adjacent design support, part Kickstarter media machine. It became an early example of the kind of hybrid work I kept returning to later: translating a complex creative project into the media, surfaces, and systems needed to help people understand it.

Role

  • Produced short-form team profiles, promotional pieces, and gameplay-adjacent videos for online distribution.
  • Captured and edited gameplay demos for Kickstarter, web, and social presentation.
  • Supported 3D modeling, lighting, animation, and visual asset preparation for game-related media.
  • Helped package the project across motion graphics, screenshots, web surfaces, and promotional materials.

Team Profiles and Promotional Video Content

Short-form videos created to introduce the team, show the tone of the project, and give potential supporters a clearer sense of the game in motion. The videos mixed personality, gameplay, and promotional context for web and Kickstarter audiences.

Gameplay Screenshots and 3D Modeling
